Petra [Page 23]

Page 23

Petra sat, marveling at the revelation, that mankind would progress to the next level of evolution, by cooperative living. Her contemplation was soon interrupted, as Aaron called her to come see something in an old book, which  he had pulled from a shelf in the lab.

Moses gave a knowing nod, indicating that she should rejoin Aaron and she could somehow sense that He had finished and was wanting to be about more important business of His own. As she walked over to where Aaron was standing, Moses bid them peace and faded from view.

"The Master's talk, of two eyes seeing a new dimension, reminded me of this picture", Aaron began. "I've been facinated with it for years, but have often wished that there was a way of seeing it in more detail."

Petra studied the picture, for a moment, then had a flash of inspiration. "Since New Jerusalem seems to produce an environment that matches our thinking, perhaps we could use it, like a Star Trek Holodeck, to create a 3D model of this picture."

"Girl, you must have read my mind", he said with a wink. "And, I know the perfect room, where we can try it.  There is a large circular hall, where meetings are sometimes held. "

And so, our adventuresome pair set off to find the Roundroom. Their path included the same hallway that their rooms were located on, so they decided to make a quick stop, before proceding on. To their delight, Dixon Knight had left a package in Petra's room, addressed to Aaron.  Dixon , self appointed, chronicler of Petra's adventures, had produced a promotional T-shirt and wanted Aaron to have the first one.  Aaron had the shirt on in a heartbeat. He wanted Petra to know that he was her number one fan. Petra enjoyed the attention and, in a wink of the eye, changed her attire to a red dress, calculated to show her man that he had her full attention. Costumes changed, they proceeded, hand in hand, to the next scene.

"The Roundroom," Aaron explained, "is used for various ceremonies, formal initiations and meetings. We can see two balcony levels, but there are several levels above them, which our eyes can't see. The highest level, I am told, is shared by beings from many worlds and universes."

"More than one universe?", she asked. "I thought the word universe meant everything there is."

"Indeed," he informed her, "but an individual or group is limited by their ring-pass-not, as to how much of the big picture they can see. Many mistakenly believe they understand what God and His universe are, when in reality they are still relatively clueless, even about who or what they themselves really are."

Since they had the roundroom to themselves and there was a spiral staicase leading to the first balcony, Aaron suggested they work from there, to get a grander perspective.  Because the room was round and unfurnished, it was difficult to judge the immense area encompassed by this hall. It wasn't until after taking longer than expected, to walk to the stairs, and taking the first few steps up that she realized that the room could easily contain many thousands of spectators.  As they reached their new higher vantage point, the lights began to slowly dim and Aaron began to narrate.

"Before time itself began, the pure and immeasurably great, Perfect One is. Throughout Eternity, the question of "to be or not to be" was before the Perfect One.  When the One placed It's attention on this decision, consciousness was brought forth. The Trinity of decision-attention-consciousness manifests as a light around the One, the wellspring from which comes all worlds and life."

Petra, seeing eye to eye with Aaron, picks up the narration from here.

"The One actively beholds Itself  in the Water of Life and  becomes Two, He, the invisible Father and She, the first power and glory, the image of the Spirit.  Her Light resembles the Father's Light and is reflected back to Him. The meeting of these two great lights produces the Firstborn Child, the seed from which all lifeforms come forth."

"The Child receives the unspoken Word from It's Father and in speaking it creates all that is.  Like a great central nervous system, connecting mind and body, The Child is the interface between spirit and matter.  By whatever name you may call it, Soul, Monad, the Christ Principle, it is the link that joins heaven and earth."

Delighted and inspired by their 3D revelation, Aaron and Petra find themselves magnetically drawn together, into what we, mere mortals living in a realm of time and sequence, see as their first kiss. As their lips met, in this magical place, time lost all meaning. This is a union that always was and always will be.
It is an Eternal Kiss.
Blessed indeed is anyone that has ever known a kiss such as this.

Petra [Page 24]

Page 24

Alas, their experience with eternity is disrupted, as time and a now brighter lit space came crashing back on them. Both immediately sensed that the kiss had lasted much longer than any "normal" kiss and that, during it, back on earth, something had gone awry.
"There's a disturbance in the force", Aaron said, looking very concerned.
"I feel it too.", she replied.

Without hesitating, she materialized the device Dixon had given her, out of thin air. As she randomly touched the four buttons on it, Aaron tried to mentally help make the connection, by thinking someone was surely trying to reach them.

In a moment the screen lit up and a face appeared on it. Aaron recognized the face of an associate that he had met at an annual gathering of friends, on earth. The face on the screen didn't notice a connection had been made, because she had her eyes closed, in prayer.

"Hello Bambie", he began, "What's up?"

Bambie was visibly startled, but then her eyes lit up and she began to smile.
"Aaron, thank goodness", she began, "... and this must be Petra, whom I've heard so much about. Nice to meet you sweetie. We'll have to meet for tea in New Jerusalem some time soon."

"Nice to meet you too, Bambie", Petra returned. "We sensed something was wrong down there and were hoping you'd tell us what is going on."

"It's Richard..", says Bambie.  "You must have picked up that we are worried about him.  He seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth.  Nobody has heard from him, in weeks."

An awkward silence ensued, as our lovers eyes met, each of them blushing from the mixture of feelings of chagrin and charm, the pain of having lost all track of time and the pleasure of knowing why.  Aaron broke the silence by informing Bambie that they could probably locate Richard, from their vantage point in New Jerusalem, and solve the mystery. He told her they would let her know what they learned and thanked her for her help. As her image dissolved on the screen, he cupped his hand behind Petra's and the two of them concentrated on making contact with Richard. Unlike their previous connection, as Richard came into view on the display screen, he was looking right at them, as if he had been expecting the call.

"Hi y'all", he greeted them with a grin.

"Dude", Aaron began, "we heard you dropped off the face of the earth. What's up with that!"

"Oh, nothing a grad student of Hard Knocks U can't handle.", he joked.  "Deb started hanging out with this strange new age group and their leader convinced her that she should dump me. He kept telling her that my friends and I were a bunch of losers. He gave her a lot of expensive gifts and made her feel like she was better than everybody else. Next thing I know, I'm on the street, looking for a new place to live. I'm renting a room, by the month, in a hotel, downtown. It all happened so fast, I've been too busy trying to piece my world back together than to keep in touch with everyone."

"I'm sorry to hear that Deb and her new friend made things so rough on you.", Petra lamented.

"If it were just done to me, I wouldn't mind as much," Richard interjected, "but he and his, so called, "School of Better Living"  is gaining lots of students. He promises all his students long life and prosperity, when in reality it is little more than a pyramid scam, allowing him to leach off everyone's life energies."

Petra and Aaron exchanged a knowing glance. They both felt a call to action. This "School of Better Living" sounded like the antithesis of the Great Plan for uniting heaven and earth, so they wanted to go, as a team, to investigate it.  They informed Richard that they were going to come visit him at the hotel and headed back to Petra's room to prepare for the trip.

Aaron went straight to the computer. He sent Bambie an e-mail, letting her know that they had found Richard and were going to visit him. That done, he searched for any information available on the "School of Better Living".  He learned that the school was founded by a man calling himself "Father Adelphi" and it had grown to thousands of followers in only a few years. Another page turned up an itinerary of Adelphi's current lecture tour.

"Speak of the devil...", he quipped, "he's giving a seminar, for the next few days, at the very hotel where Richard is staying."  Petra let out a whistle, in acknowledgment, but her heed was being diverted by her pet.  Izzy was vying for her attention, indicating by gestures, that she should open the door that it was pointing at.

Although she had never used it, as it's creator, she knew that this door led to what she thought of as her "whatever" room. If she wanted to prepare food, there would be a kitchen in there. Whatever her desires, this little side room would provide the perfect environment to meet them.
If Izzy, also the product of her thinking, wanted something in this room, she would naturally investigate it.  As she opened the door, Izzy marched right in, matched in their convictions that this elevator car would take them straight to where Richard was.  After all, she had just been wondering how they would travel back to earth when the means had presented itself.

"I think our next adventure is fixin' ta start", she said in her best imitation Texas accent.

"I'd  follow you anywhere, darlin' ", he said, attempting to copy her accent. Aaron felt somewhat relieved that this mode of transportation would not make a living comet of him.

When they were all in the elevator, he took control of the buttons.  Petra just smiled, thinking to herself, "It's a guy thing", that, when it comes to machines, boys want to be the ones pushing the buttons. This elevator only had three buttons, so Aaron selected the bottom one, imprinted with the letter "D".
"D is for Down to Dallas", he said, trying to sound like he had done this sort of thing before.

The elevator made the usual sort of noise, as the red down-arrow above the door lit up, but, aside from that, there was no sensation of their moving downward. Although the car was descending rapidly, there was no feeling of weighlessness, because their etheric bodies were being clothed in denser physical atoms, as they approached the bottom.

The elevator delivered them to the lobby of the Santa Fe hotel, in Dallas, Texas.  As the door closed behind them, Aaron stood, getting his bearings, while Petra, with Izzy rolling along at her feet, boldly advanced in the quest to locate their friend.  As soon as she rounded the corner, she spotted him, coming down the stairs from the mezzanine.

As Aaron rounded the corner, Richard spotted them, gave a wave, and greeted them.  His entrance had a triumphal air, like that of a movie star arriving on stage.  Indeed, he often felt his mortal self little more than an act that had to be performed.  Even the woman that was passing him on the stairs seemed to pick up that there was something about him. She was wondering if she had seen him on TV or in the news. She didn't escape his radar either.  Had he not already caught the attention of his friends in the lobby, his course might easily have been diverted.

As he joined his friends, Petra and Aaron each took up one of his hands simultaneously. All three saw, in an instant, that they now had a triad, requiring only that Petra and Aaron also hold hands. As they closed the circle, each began to chant OM, after which Aaron led them in the song of 144,000.

"While we're at it," Richard said, let's include The Great Invocation,"

From the point of Light
within the Mind of God
Let light stream forth into
the minds of men.
Let Light descend on Earth.

From the point of Love
within the Heart of God
Let love stream forth into
the hearts of men.
May Christ return to Earth.

From the centre where the
Will of God is known
Let purpose guide the little
wills of men ---
The purpose which the
Masters know and
serve.

From the centre which we
call the race of men
Let the Plan of Love and
Light work out.
And may it seal the door
where evil dwells.

Let Light and Love and
Power restore the Plan
on Earth.

Infused with joy and peace from the song and invocation, the three gathered around a table in the lobby.  Since this was Richard's current home, he felt it his position to open the discussion to the business at hand.

"I'm sure there is no coincidence to y'all arriving only minutes before Father Adelphi's seminar", he began.  "We are all of one mind, when it comes to allowing others to follow their chosen life's path, live and let live, but something is telling us that this guy is closing the door to life, for as many as he can.

Grand Tour

Before it went to press, in 2006 I contributed an entry for "Comments from Readers", in the front of "Eternal Words", by J.J.Dewey, in which I wrote the following.

"This book contains a sequence, the communication between Joseph and the least and greatest consciousness in the universe, that, when grasped and explored ny our scientists, will take us far beyond quantum physics and, ultimately unite science and religion, by simultaneously answering the ultimate questions posed by each. Anyone that did not get this impression need only go back and re-read that chapter a few times."

When I received my signed edition and re-read it, I used my limited computer and software to create this animation. It zooms from an atom down to a world within a quark.

Oo Ah Ta El & Mi Ta Zu El

Josh smokes a bit from his good stash and  tells the story about Oo Ah Ta El & Mi Ta Zu El

This is a story about a great Designer/Builder, whose name is Oo Ah Ta El. Oo lives on, what we call, a virtual world. The name of the world, well who cares, besides it wouldn't interest anybody, outside a small circle of friends [Phil Ochs]. Oo Ah Ta El gets this idea in his head that he should make something really, really big, and as round as round can be, so he goes to his drawing board to begin some rough sketches. A pile of crumpled papers builds on the floor, as each design approach seems to leave him with having to make 22 parts fit into 7 bins.

On Oo's world, they do not have computers and calculators and such, yet but math is eternal and so he knew how to work out adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing, with the use of a paper and pencil. In order to get a number, that he could use on his measuring bowls or tape measure, Oo began, what we call, longhand division. If you have ever done this type of math, the very first thing you may have noticed is it's immediate requirement for lots of Time and Space. After filling several pages and wearing the pencil down to a three inch stub, OoAh called it quits, as we was probably going to round off the answer to a couple of decimal points any way. About then, his know-it-all, nerdy little sister, Mi Ta Zu El, came in and began thumbing through the pile of longhand division. She turns to Oo and says, "I could have done these in half the time it took you."

Oo: Where were you, when I needed you?

Mi: Point is, ANYBODY would get exactly the same answer. We could say that the question, it's answer and all the steps between, already exist, eternally, outside of time and space. You could just go there and fetch the answer, without having to do all this messy work.

Oo: Cool! So, you know how to do this? Can you teach me how?

Mi: Even if I say I can, it won't do you any good. It will be impossible for you to KNOW, until you have exhausted me with endless debates, which question the veracity of math itself. I don't have time for that. My friends are waiting to take me to the Trekkie Convention (Yeah, sadly, they have them there too).

Oo: Big help you were.

Mi: [pulls a notebook with pictures of all her friends faces from her purse] Here, I'll make you a list of some of my facebook friends, from around the world. Maybe you can find one of them to explain it to you, in words that even a dummo boy can understand.

Oo: [waits for door to close behind her, then crumples the list and tosses it on the pile] Oi vey!! [shouts] What's for tea, mum?
